Math Plus Blog is a supplement page to the educational web site Matematika +. Math Articles, Math Stories, Math Puzzles, Math Games and other posts published on Math Plus Blog are designed for young promising mathematicians, mainly preschool and elementary school students, their teachers and their parents. I believe that solving nonstandard problems presented in a nonstandard ways may improve students math abilities and may enhance their performance in mathematics.
My name is Irena Stojkovska and I am the author of the posts published on Math Plus Blog, if not otherwise specified. I am also a founder of Matematika + and one of its editors. I am a university professor in Applied Mathematics with a great interests in popularization of mathematics. As a mathematician and a mother of two young children, who turned out to be also interested in math, I am constantly inspired to search for existing or to compose new math problems, activities and games for them. Being primarily a teacher, it is natural to me to share what we learned or what helped us to understand better new mathematical concepts or how we mastered them. That is how and why I founded Matematika + and now Math Plus Blog.
